【摘要】:Thistestmethoddeterminestheoperationalforcesofslidingwindowsanddoorsbysimulatingforceappliedbyhanddirectlytomovablesashorpanels.Breakawayandin-motionoperatingforcesaremeasuresoftheeaseofoperationoffenestrationproducts.Productspecifications,buildingcodes,andbuildingspecificationsestablishoperatingforcelimitsasmeasuresofproductperformanceorlimitsforhandicappedaccessibility,orboth.Windowanddoorperformancestandardsforairinfiltrationandwaterpenetrationinsomecasesrequireoperatingforcemeasurementstobemadeandreportedasanindicationoftheoperabilityofthetestspecimen.Operatingforcescanvarysignificantlyfromunittounitduetofactorssuchasinstallationparameters,wearingofslidingorrollingparts,lubrication,stiffeningorsofteningofweather-strip,andenvironmentalfactors(forexample,humidity,temperature,accumulationofdirt,andsoforth).Therefore,whenappliedtonewproductdesigns,thistestmethodrequiresthatunitsbetestedinalaboratoryundercontrolledconditionsincludingaccuratemounting(plumb,square,andlevel)followingthemanufacturer''sinstructions.Useofthistestmethodinthefielddoesnotnecessarilyindicatetheoperatingforcesthatareinherentintheparticularwindowdesign,butrather,providesameasurementoftheforcesrequiredforoperationoftheparticularunitattheparticulartime.Theuseriscautionedthatinstallationdefectssuchasbowedjambs,rackedframes,orinadequateanchoringcanresultinbindingorstickingofmovablecomponentsandincreasedoperatingforces.Thistestmethodrequiresmeasurementofbothbreakawayandin-motionoperatingforces.Generally,breakawayforceishigherthanin-motionoperatingforceduetothedifferencebetweenstaticanddynamicfrictioncoefficientsorthepresenceofweather-strippingandsashpockets,orboth.Traditionalfenestrationproductstandardshaverequireddeterminationofin-motionoperatingforceintheopeningdirectiononlyandreferredtothissimplyasoperatingforce.Thistestmethodisintendedtodeterminetheforcesrequiredtooperateawindoworslidingdoorwhichisproperlyinstalledandwhichisoperatedbyhandapplicationofforcetoahandle,pullbar,orsashmember.Applicationofforcethroughjerkingorimpactmotionisnotmeasuredorevaluatedbythistestmethod.Operatingforcescanbesignificantlydifferentbetweentheopeningandclosingdirectionsofmovement;therefore,thistestmethodinvolvesmeasurementsinbothdirectionsofmovement.Thistestmethodprovidesfortwoprocedureswhichincludeadeadweighttestmethod(TestMethodA)andaforcegagetestmethod(TestMethodB)ofapplyingandmeasuringforcesrequiredtooperateaslidingwindoworslidingdoor.Whenproperlyapplied,bothtestmethodsaredeemedtoproduceequivalentresults.Thedeadweighttestmethodisconsideredtobelesslikelytobeaffectedbytheoperator''sskillinapplyingloadsinasteadyandproperlytimedmanner.Theforcegagetestmethodisconsideredsimplertoapplyandmoreapplicabletofieldtestingwheretheinstallationofpulleysandcablingisoftenimpractical.Bothtestmethodsaresubjecttoasimilaruncertainty.1.1Thistestmethoddeterminestheoperatingforcesforopeningandclosinghorizontalandverticalslidingwindowsandhorizontalslidingdoorsystems.Itdoesnotaddresstheforcesrequiredforopeningpivoting,projecting,orotherfenestrationsystems.Thistestmethoddoesnotaddresstheuseorperformanceofadd-ondevicesormechanicaloperatorsthatmightbeinstalledtoreduceoperatingforcesofslidingwindowsordoors.Itdealsonlywiththeforcesnecessarytoopenandcloseasashorpanelthroughthedirectapplicationofforcetotheoperablesashorpanel.1.2Thistest......
