【摘要】:TheimpactstrengthofPVCprofilesrelatestosuitabilityforserviceandtoqualityofprocessing.Impacttestsareusedforquality-controlpurposesandasanindicationthatproductscanwithstandhandlingduringassembling,installation,orinservice.Resultsobtainedbyuseofthistestmethodcanbeusedintwoways:5.2.1Asthebasisforestablishingimpact-testrequirementsinproductstandards,and5.2.2Tomeasuretheeffectofchangesinmaterialsorprocessing.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheenergyrequiredtocrackorbreakrigidpoly(vinylchloride)(PVC)profileunderspecifiedconditionsofimpactbymeansofafallingweight.1.2ThistestmethodisabletobeusedbyitselforinconjunctionwithothermethodsofmeasuringPVCproducttoughness.1.3Becauseofthewidevarietyofprofilesizesandshapesandthewidevarietyofmanufacturingproceduresandfieldabuse,thistestmethoddoesnotcorrelateuniversallywithalltypesofabuse.Therefore,correlationsmustbeestablishedasneeded.1.4Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthisstandard.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Note1--ThereisnoequivalentorsimilarISOstandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
