【摘要】:ThispartofIEC61788coversatestmethodforthedeterminationofthed.c.criticalcurrentofNb3Sncompositesuperconductorswhicharefabricatedbyeitherthebronzeprocessortheinternaltindiffusionprocessandhaveacopper/non-copperratiolargerthan0,2.Thismethodisintendedforusewithsuperconductorswhichhavecriticalcurrentsoflessthan1000Aandn-valueslargerthan12understandardtestconditionsandatmagneticfieldsoflessthanorequalto0,7timestheuppercriticalmagneticfield.Thetestspecimenisimmersedinaliquidheliumbathatameasuredtemperatureduringtesting.TheNb3Sncompositetestconductorhasamonolithicstructurewithatotalround-cross-sectionalareathatislessthan2mm.Thespecimengeometryusedinthistestmethodisaninductivelycoiledspecimen.Deviationsfromthistestmethodthatareallowedforroutinetestsandotherspecificrestrictionsaregiveninthisstandard.Nb3Snconductorswithcriticalcurrentsabove1000Aortotalcross-sectionalareasgreaterthan2mmcanbemeasuredwiththepresentmethodwithananticipatedreductioninprecisionandamoresignificantself-fieldeffect(seeannexC).Other,morespecialized,specimentestgeometriesmaybemoreappropriateforlargerconductortestingwhichhavebeenomittedfromthispresentstandardforsimplicityandtoretainprecision.ThetestmethodgiveninthisstandardshouldinprincipleapplytoNb3Sncompositewiresfabricatedbyanyotherprocess,suchasthemodifiedjelly-rollprocess.Thismethodisalsoexpectedtoapplytoothersuperconductingcompositewiresaftersomeappropriatemodifications.
