【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardgivesrecommendationsforthedesignandmanufactureofchildren’sclothingtopromotemechanicalsafety.Thestandardalsogivesrecommendationsonsafetyaspectsofthepackaginganddisplayofchildren’sclothing,includingguidanceforretailers.Thisstandardisapplicabletoclothingintendedforchildrenupto14yearsofage.Thisstandardisintendedforuseatallstagesoftheclothingsupplychain,includingusebydesigners,specifiersandmanufacturersofchildren’sclothing.Itisalsointendedtobeusedbyimporters,distributorsandretailerstoassistthemintheselectionofclothingthatdoesnotpresentamechanicalhazard.Thisstandardisnotapplicableto:a)childcarearticles,suchasbibs,nappiesandsootherholders;b)footwear,suchasboots,shoesandslippers;c)toysandotheritemssoldwiththeclothing.Thestandarddoesnotincluderecommendationsonanyclothingfeaturesthatmightbenecessarytocaterforchildrenwithspecialneeds.Thestandarddoesnotincluderecommendationsonthefollowing:1)chemicalsafety;2)protectionagainstallergicreactions,e.g.tonickelreleasedfrommetalcomponents,rubberandfeathers;3)thermalprotection(againstheatorcold);4)avoidanceofoverheatinginchildrenunder12months;5)flammability;6)protectionagainstsolarradiation(protectionagainstsunburn).
